The UK Government scrappage scheme is a great opportunity for you to save at least £2,000 on a new safer, more reliable and more efficient car. From 18th May 2009, if you scrap a vehicle that is ten years old, the Government are offering £1,000 towards any new car when you trade in a vehicle that's at least 10 years old. The manufacturer will match this contribution, so that's £2,000 off the purchase price.
